  • 1 pound of cream cheese, softened
  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 4 cups of sifted confectioners’ sugar

  2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.

  1. When do you add the food coloring to the frosting and won’t it make it to loose.
    What is the red food coloring for and when do you add that.

    • Get the past food coloring, Walmart or and craft store will have it. If it’s runny add more confection sugar, the paste type isn’t runny.

  5. I am in a nursing home so don’t cook anymore. This is the most beautiful cake I’ve seen lately. I am a diehard LSU fan and sent the recipe to my husband and told him I want this cake,for my birthday in September. Hopefully between now and then he can find someone to make it. It would be perfect for football season.
